We've been watching every week, as this building at
Roebling and N. 9th in Williamsburg--a part of the neighborhood that will be virtually unrecognizable from today in about three years--was cleared out in preparation for renovation and is now undergoing a complete makeover. It's being turned into 11 condos and is getting an addition on top, the obtrusiveness of which is unknown. In any case, the building is already getting new windows, shown above.

Those windows are awful. In a neighborhood full of cheap reno, three-at-a-time windows look like a bargain basement afterthought. It's a really nice old building and could've easily looked a whole lot better.
