Old vs. New on Boerum Hill
There is nothing particularly brand new about this juxtaposition. It's just that we happened to pay more attention to it the other day and noticed the 1876 atop 333 Warren Street, which is next door to 335 Warren Street. We also noted that the flowers in the windows of the empty building are a nice touch. We didn't know (for certain) the architect of 335 Warren until we looked it up on the Department of Buildings website. You get three guesses. If you're a regular reader, we know you'll get it on the first attempt. And, if you're new to the fun world of Brooklyn architecture and development, click here to find out.

Obviously, we have lost the war on ugly architecture. Can we have Scarano design the new Smith St. McDonalds?
I'm someone who likes most of Scarano's work and think the hoopla against 360 Smith is nuts.
I have been inside this one on Warren. The mezzanine space is almost totally useless (especitally the 'penthouse') and the steps going up there are more like a ladder than a stairs.
Still don't know why offering only 6 of the 8 units for sale...and why the developer keeps lower floor entrance boarded. If he thought not safe area why did he build it like that.
I also complained to city that the builder is still blocking parking in front of building with his cones/barricades even though construction is finished.
PS - another similar but nicer one finishing up on Wyckoff almost to Hoyt.
He has also been blocking parking on Bond St. between Carroll & President for over a year now.
Scarano personally has been blocking traffic?
