Atlantic Yards Report and Develop Don't Destroy have done a HUGE disservice to the holdouts. If instead of encouraging them to stand fast they had fought to get them more money and move on the renters may have been able to buy their own apartments.
As everyone knows prices in Brooklyn have risen at least 30% - 100% since this fight started.
Now a decent rental in a desirable location will be difficult and they may have thrown away their chance to own their own home and destiny.
Atlantic Yards Report and Develop Don't Destroy have done much more to harm these people than Ratner ever did.
