Bklink: NYT Says Fourth Avenue Succumbing to Lattes

"Apart from a herd of auto repair shops and the occasional bodega, the thoroughfare was home to few businesses. Even if Fifth Avenue’s restaurant row had stretched all the way to the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge, even if the Gowanus Canal had filled with gondolas, it would have been hard to imagine Fourth Avenue yielding to the pressures of gentrification."--NYT
