Another Williamsburg Building Coming Down?
This is 184 N. 8 Street, which is one of our favorite buildings in Williamsburg. Until recently when it was repainted, it served as a canvas for a great deal of street art in addition to some very intricate tagging. Every time we look at it, we see an old industrial building that could be converted to a new use rather than being sold and converted to new use. Work has been going on inside the building for weeks now and a resident told us that it's going to be demolished. No demolition permits have been filed, however, that we can find. If anyone knows more about this building's future, or lack of one, do let us know. We're still hoping that there's only some interior work going on.
