Behold the Coney Island Swans

Yesterday, we ran a gorgeous sunset shot taken by Eric Provost, who is a regular GL photo contributor, in which these two swans could be seen in silhouette. Here they are in a couple of other shots Mr. Provost sent along. He writes," Never saw swans out in the middle of a beach. They were just swimming past the boardwalk..." We've seen swans in the Gowanus and there was one that used to like hanging out in Red Hook, and we've seen them in many other places on the water around Brooklyn, but we've never personally seen them on the beach side of Coney Island before.
