Breaking: Buildings Commisioner Resigns

DOB Commissioner Patricia Lancaster who has faced increasing criticism in the wake of very high profile construction accidents this year, has resigned. Mayor Bloomberg made the announcement, saying that "Over the past six years, Patricia has moved the Department of Buildings a long way forward by fighting corruption, strengthening inspections and oversight, increasing the public's access to information, and bringing increased levels of professionalism and integrity to all levels of her agency."

Great!
Is that any sort of justice?
People have died and others lives have been, forever changed by her willful negligence.
She, along with her boss (Mayor Bloomberg) should be prosecuted for there crimes.
Letting her resign is just another joke on the tax payers.
Bloomberg orchestrated this to cover up for his own complicity in allowing the continued violations of the Building code and the law. All for the sake of the real estate transfer taxes that were generated to keep the City's books in the black for the last 5 or so years.
Disgusted!

Joe Bull Sitt's construction fences that fall down in any type of wind better take note. He also runs electrical cable not in metal conduit on metal fences, a electrical hazard waiting to kill someone who accidently touches the fence
