did they finally remove that old beat up dark blue 20 yr old plus spooky Ford Econoline van that was parked for week plus outside Radiac? It looked abandoned...and ofcourse the crack (pot) security team at Radiac ofcourse must have been aware of it?!! and yet it was there for days...The neighborhood is pissed that Radiac lacks all respect for the human life that lives around it!!! Why aren't these jerks gone already? Why is the City and NY State ignoring the huge TOXIC risks of Radiac to soo many residents of NYC on BOTH the BK side AND Manhattan side of the river!! Where ther hell is there any thought given by any of the gov agencies to the neigbhorhood in relation to this very know (DHS included) risk???
Last night fri 8/10/07 Fox News lead story was that "the NYPD has just raised its counter terror surveillance level including vehicle checkpoints and RADIOLOGICAL detection" !!!
They were checkpoints in lower manahattan...
And yet was there one NYPD cruiser down at RADIAC keeping an eye on thngs for the secuirty of Williamsburg and Manhattan? Nope!!! What the hell are they doing?
Did anyone in the Williamsnurg Northside/Southside here the military helicoper going back and forth b/w the river and the BQE early last Sunday 8/5/07morning? It did this for a good 45 min- hour + and meanwhile there were large trucks coming up grand street from the direction of the the river (and RADIAC) headed toward the BQE....WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON? Mine telling Joe Public?
Or is it that you don't want to scare off all those future luxury condo buyers? So the City/State/Fed put thousands at risk for what? To save the real estate developers?
In today's 9/11/2007 NY Times Metro sction on page B1 in an article titled "Suburban Police Enlisted to Help Protect the City by Corey Kilgannon.... its states
"Over the past several months, the federal Dept of Homeland Security and the NYPD have been supplying radiation detectors to law enforcement agencies within 50 miles of the City and training their officers how to search for nuclear weapons and dirty bombs."
then an official from DHS is next quoted in following paragraph as saying " Once a nuclear weapon is already in Manhattan, it's too late," said Vayl S. Oxford of the federal dept.

GEE DHS then why is RADIAC Still here on the river in Brooklyn????
As residents of Williamsburg have been pointing out for years, Radiac is a dirty bomb already housed on NYC soil!!! Yet its still here and lacking the DHS security it deserves!! What is the real reason DHS consistently IGNORES and SWEEPS UNDER THE RUG THE RISK OF RADIAC TO RG RESIDENTS OF BK and Mahnattan???
