Keeping Up with Manhattan & Jackson in Williamsburg

368 Manhattan

The part of Williamsburg around Jackson Street and Manhattan Avenue has been quite the hotbed of construction over the last year or so. The building above is 368 Manhattan, which is finally emerging from its construction phase. The Jackson Foundry building (first photo below) has been turned into condos. There are a number of them on the Corcoran website, with one bedrooms around $800,000 and a two bedroom listed at $1M. The photo at the bottom is 131-139 Jackson Street. If it looks a little familiar (think Roebling Square in Williamsburg), that's because it's also the work of the ubiquitous Karl Fischer.

I know this area very well. Its forever changing now. Seems like everytime I look theres either a new apt building or art gallery popping up.

I live around the corner and have been checking out almost all the new construction in Williamsburg, especially on our side of the BQE.

Jackson Foundry is without a doubt the nicest building I've seen (haven't seen the "new construction" units, just some units in the "old" part of the building). The layouts are nice, the fixtures are actually high end--just a great building. The Corcoran agent is a doofus, though.
