Bklink: Save the Kitties

This is not a Brooklyn item, but it is a very upsetting story that you may have seen yesterday. You can contact the Port Authority to tell them what you think of their roundup of the feral cats at JFK and the fact that they could very well be put to death. Please help.--Gothamist

The craziest thing about the Port Authority's actions is that they won't do anything to solve the problem. In fact, eliminating the cats will only serve to increase the bird population.

Sure, let's get rid of all the cats, and that will eliminate all those pesky birds. Sheesh.

I guess the PA doesn't understand that cats don't attract birds, they kill them.
