Carroll Gardens Democracy Wall Gets New Mural
Despite the fact that some posters were torn down last week and there have been rumblings of opposition from local officials, there some new artwork at what we like to call The Democracy Wall in the plaza at the Carroll Street subway stop in Carroll Gardens. The new poster deal with development, of course, and a handwritten sign next to it was promoting a Christmas tree fundraising sale at 610 Henry Street. The email that came with the photo said, "It looks like the democracy wall has a certain Brooklyn resiliency at least for now."
