Bedford Ave. Report: Dunkin Donuts Coming?
A GL reader sent this photo taken today on Bedford Avenue at N. 3 Street where a Dunkin Donuts sign is up on the scaffolding around the Quadriad Development project. The Dunkin Donuts--which is not going to be opening immediately, would be just up the block from the Commerce Bank. Perhaps it is time to begin a Starbucks Betting Pool with the keys points being where and when. Our bet: the retail in Northside Piers on Kent Avenue by October. (Actually, the retail space is in the Palmer's Dock affordable housing part of the development, which is the mid-rise building on Kent Avenue.)
UPDATE: Two readers have left comments that sign was pre-attached to scaffolding that went up and must have come from another site. Very neatly placed, however. Time will tell.

NO!!!! We should protest such national chains! Is that The GAP knocking? Ugh.
This is total crap...that sign was on the scaffolding when it went up, probably left over from a prior job.
I hope you're right, but it sounds unlikely they would leave such a sign.
plus i was the one taking the picture and i am almost 100% positive that it wasn't there before this weekend. I walk there everyday and the scaffolding has been up for a couple of weeks now.
but hell yeah, i hope you're right. I don't want a stinky munchkins vendor on N3rd. We have the Beer Hall already, that should be enough, thanks.
i live across the street...the sign was actually there the day the scaffolding went up. i'm sure it was just part of a previous site.
ok, i owe you a latte if you're right.
I live in the Burg and would *LOVE* a Dunkin' Donuts to open up! I'm sick of all the pretentious coffee shops in Williamsburg jammed with hipsters. (Or are they the homeless? The line is quite blurry.) And those little oven toasted hash browns. Mmmmmm mmmmm... bring it on!
(And a Gap would be fine too.)
5:05. Funny comment about the hipsters. Is it asking too much to have a bath every now and then? You can't be serious about the Dunkin Donuts and The GAP. Love McDonalds but would hate to see one open up in this part of Williamsburg. Long live shops like Mini Jake and The Future Perfect. I hope the Subway's of the world stay away. Oops - I guess we're too late for that.
Olivier- dissin the beer hall? whats up?
there is already a dunkin donuts on graham & metropolitan, suckaz
Sign has been taken down.
false alert i guess.
oh i feel better.
