Bklink: Too Hot for Park Slope?

Is a sex toy shop too much for Park Slope? Could be. Brownstoner broke the news of the new Toys in Babeland shop on Bergen Street last week. And, now, some resident are saying "no way" to the dil...sex toys. IE:"'I don't think it's the ideal location for a provocative business,' said resident Bruce Osborne, 32, who has a 4-year-old son." Also: "A 32-year-old stay-at-home mom, who gave only her first name, Julie, said, 'I don't think it's a great idea.'" One suspects the discussion will continue.--NYP

Maybe the sexually repressed PS moms should remove the giant poles they have stuck up their you-know-wheres. Heaven forbid the neighborhood get an interesting store. How many boutiques filled boring, shapeless clothing do we really need?

So Park Slope parents think it's ok to bring infants/toddlers/children to a bar, but not sell sex toys to consenting adults?

This blog written in the royal we is starting to sound a bit swish.
And will soon be the leading contributor to Gawker, etc.for dumbass twee things written about PS.
Write in the first person if you're the only one writing it, numbskull!
And those PS moms sure could use a pole stuck up ... which is why there's a healthy sex toy industry.

4:25pm - Yea, pretty much. They want to live their lives the way they want, free of judgment [and while drinking in bars with their babies] yet god forbid they allow anyone else to do the same. And Babes is about as classy as you can get for a sex shop. A dildo might do these people some good.

I'm a Park Sloper and I can't wait to shop at my local Babes. Our current Pink Pussycat is sleazy, and who wants to have to ride the train for a shiny new butt plug?
