Street Art War Update: Faile Goes Up By One On the Splasher
Score one for the Faile crew. A check of the state of street art on N. 6th Street, which was one of the spots struck by the destructive Splasher, finds that the Faile crew has replaced destroyed street art. The art war was noted in the Sunday New York Times, and quoted a Faile member as saying they would incorporate the Splasher's splashing and "Excrement of Action" manifesto into their work, which they have done. Here's hoping they stay that way, but even if they don't we have faith that street artists will trump the pseudo-intellectual twaddle of the reviled Splasher.

the splasher is horrid. the splasher is a vandal. if you see him/her, nab him/her.
Did *you* just call someone "psuedo-intellectual"? YOU?
what a waste of a trust fund.
i've grown tired of the use of 'trust fund' as a adjective used to describe street artists. surely the creative genius who used this can come up with something a bit more original
I saw Faile putting some of these up the other morning on N6. I wanted to walk over and shake his hand. The splasher makes me sick.
I know i've got the unpopular opinion of the week on this one, but i think the splashing is quite beautiful. It adds some texture to a stagnant (and ultimately vandalous) artform.
putting anything on a wall is vandalism, both that paper crap and the splasher should stop and if i catch them and i live around there i will be taking pictures and following you and calling the police.
