Upcoming: Brooklyn Historical Society Children's Book Day
The Brooklyn Historical Society is having its first "Children's Book Day" today (12/1) from Noon-4PM. The event is free and features performances, readings, discussions and workshops aimed at children aged 1-12 and their parents. Per the Historical Society website's events page:
Readings include: Dr. Lorenzo Pace, author of “Janlani and the Lock,” presents the amazing, true story of his great-grandfather, who was brought to America as a slave, Leonard Marcus, author of “Golden Legacy,” talks to adults about the launch of Little Golden Books 65 years ago and Jon Sciezka, co-author of the “Stinky Cheese Man,” will read from his newest work, “Cowboy and Octopus.”The event is free. The Historical Society is located at 128 Pierrepont Street at Clinton in Brooklyn Heights.
